Building Your Online Business Series

Traffic generation — digital advertising on a budget

A recording of the workshop is available at the bottom of this page.

About this Workshop

Spending money on marketing causes anxiety largely because business owners don’t know when they are wasting money or when it’s being effective. Digital marketing doesn’t have to be expensive and, when set up properly, provides near instant feedback to the advertiser on what is getting the bang for your buck.

In this session we will cover:

- Free things you can do (like SEO) to generate traffic to your site

- Demystifying Google AdWords — setting up an account and getting into the market

- Building a laser-focused Facebook campaign and unlocking the audience targeting

Host: Professor Retha Wiesner, WiRE Program Director, USQ

Presenter: Chris Pahor, Digital Expert and Client Director Neural Digital, www.neuraldigital.com.au

Chris spent the first 9 years of his career in the agency trenches doing media buying, digital marketing, creative, and technology development for some of Australia’s largest clients.

Chris has honed his skills in pairing business challenges with marketing and technology solutions, and has unlimited enthusiasm for the future of tech, marketing, and companies that are growing and doing cool stuff.

After recognising the opportunity for a leaner and more flexible agency model, coupled with the skyrocketing growth in new marketing technology and AI, it was clear that starting a consultancy firm was where he could provide the most value to the industry.

And so, Neural Digital was born! Neural specialises in researching, on boarding and managing artificial intelligence technology within the marketing teams of Australia’s biggest companies. The marketing and advertising industry is going through a significant shift, and Neural helps businesses gain an unfair competitive advantage through cutting edge technology.
