In this module we will catch perfectionism in its tracks, notice your thoughts and behaviours that mean you’re not taking the action necessary to move your business from an idea to a reality or to scale it to the heights you deserve.

‘Reset and Re-imagine to Thrive and Play Big in Life and Business’ Workshop Series

This is the fourth workshop in our new workshop series on resetting and re-imagining you and your business.

Workshop 4: Navigating the Quest for Perfection Vs Action

About this workshop

Often the most paralysing of all is the “I can’t put my idea out into the world yet, it’s just not perfect, I still need to tweek it”. You may end up “tweeking it” forever and never taking the leap into imperfect action that leads to traction and success.

In this module we will catch perfectionism in its tracks, notice your thoughts and behaviours that mean you’re not taking the action necessary to move your business from an idea to a reality or to scale it to the heights you deserve. We will put some action steps in place to help you sit with the fear and do it anyway.

Host

Rachelle Hampson has worked in private practice as a psychologist for the past 18 years and as a consequence of wearing out her saggy brown counselling chair she wants to stand up more and talk to the masses. Rachelle is also a university qualified Wellness Coach which means she works with her favourite group (busy professional women) who are struggling with stress, anxiety and burnout seen as lack of energy, weight gain, insomnia, chaos and overwhelm in any and every aspect of their lives (AKA their physical health, emotions, financial chaos, relationship neglect, home space clutter, career discontent). She helps find your mojo, get YOU on your TO-DO list at least, with the aim to have YOU at the top of the list. Essentially, she teaches you how to feel #youaregoodenuf She has lots of very important pieces of paper including strangely a Master of Social Science in Criminology (from another life in law). She has been a mentor and workshop presenter for the Queensland Emergency Services for 15 years and has provided keynote speeches for wellbeing symposiums and corporate training across Queensland. Rachelle also completed the Wire Program in 2018 and not only found it invaluable she made some great like-minded friends.

Special Guest: Karen Sowter

This is a message from our special guest Karen Sowter:

It is a beautiful dizzily morning around the Upper Hunter of NSW and I'm looking forward to getting to know you. ~ What do you want me to be? How are you expecting me to talk? I’m good at being a chameleon, changing my clothes, my look, my words to fit your expectations. It is five years since 3 rivers collided and created a flood that swept homes, stock and three people from our town. Since then we’ve endured four years of drought, two storms that ripped parched paddocks open and now a pandemic. The pandemic forced me to slow down. After the elation that I had remote schooling down pat evaporated in a cloud of chaos, followed by the realisation that I could have it all - just not all at the same time, my beloved job ended. And that’s when I ran out of energy to maintain my mask. Of course I’m fine, of course I’m coping, of course I’ve got everything under control. It got too exhausting presenting the veneer. I’d forgotten how to be real, how to be me. In hindsight, I needed the crashing of these events to shake me out of my amour, to remove the mask that was so firmly entrenched in my being. I’ve discovered that I am a creative, curious, passionate and determined country girl who thrives on gathering people. Its been a difficult journey, but one that has built resilience thinking, one where now, the past doesn’t dictate the future and the ability to adapt to find my true north is joyfully possible. And that’s how ‘Gather’ grew. My workshops for women. My heart sings when people gather. Particularly when Rural, Regional and Remote Women who are feeling lost, overwhelmed by work, farm, family and life come together, to rest and reset whilst developing skills that build confidence, resilience, self-worth and courage. We will always have tough times, but it’s if or how we move to take the next step that drives where we will journey to. It can be a few degrees or a 180 to find our true north, but making those changes opens a lightness, a focus. Remember, no one ever got anywhere that mattered without pain. I was good at being a perfect chameleon. Now, I’m treading my own path and off to find my tribe. I’d love to share the adventure with you. Come, gather round my campfire.
