In this workshop we will work on staying in your own lane, marching to your own tune and owning your individuality and worth. There is room in the market for everyone.
‘Reset and Re-imagine Your Life and Business’ Workshop Series
This is the third workshop in our new workshop series on resetting and re-imagining to thrive and play big in life and business.
Workshop 3:
Marching to your own tune and owning your individuality
About this workshop
Social media means we have a window into everyone else’s lives like never before and this window fuels our “keeping up with the Joneses” mentality and wanting to hide because our product/service “isn’t as good as Mary’s Blogs on Instagram”. The issues of comparisonitis, competitiveness, and feeling not good enough often emerge. In this workshop we will work on finding your why, staying in your own lane, marching to your own tune and owning your individuality and worth. There is room in the market for everyone. However, connecting with others (like-minded people, others in your field, local and state government, the wider business environment etc.) is a prerequisite for progressing your journey. Strategies to do this well are also covered in this workshop.
Host and Co-facilitator
Professor Retha Wiesner, WiRE Program Director, Institute for Resilient regions, University of Southern Queensland.
Presenter and Facilitator: Rachelle Hampson
Psychologist and Wellness Coach @ The ChangeMakers
Rachelle Hampson has worked in private practice as a psychologist for the past 18 years and as a consequence of wearing out her saggy brown counselling chair she wants to stand up more and talk to the masses. Rachelle is also a university qualified Wellness Coach which means she works with her favourite group (busy professional women) who are struggling with stress, anxiety and burnout seen as lack of energy, weight gain, insomnia, chaos and overwhelm in any and every aspect of their lives (AKA their physical health, emotions, financial chaos, relationship neglect, home space clutter, career discontent). She helps find your mojo, get YOU on your TO-DO list at least, with the aim to have YOU at the top of the list. Essentially, she teaches you how to feel #youaregoodenuf. She has lots of very important pieces of paper including strangely a Master of Social Science in Criminology (from another life in law). She has been a mentor and workshop presenter for the Queensland Emergency Services for 15 years and has provided keynote speeches for wellbeing symposiums and corporate training across Queensland. Rachelle also completed the Wire Program in 2018 and not only found it invaluable she made some great like-minded friends.

Guest Presenter
Emma Bowdler
The Women’s Accountant - https://thewomensaccountant.com.au/
Emma Bowdler is an accountant, business consultant, international entrepreneur and mother – and is on a mission to help women get their business in order so they can truly thrive. After 11 years of running a 'traditional' rural-based accountancy practice in Dalby Qld, the idea for creating The Women's Accountant was plucked out of Emma's passion for helping women kick some serious goals in business. Emma heard women talk about their experiences with accountants, and a lot of the chatter was negative. Women felt unheard and thus not understood. She dug deeper – what do women want in an accountant, and how does she deliver that? The answer was simple – women want to know they have been heard and understood. Now with a national reach, servicing female led business' as far south as Tasmania and as far north as Singapore, Emma has proven that being based rurally does not need to be a limitation when it comes to doing business. The Women's Accountant provides space where women can access professional services without judgement or mansplaining, with their interests at heart. Emma aims to provide support and encouragement to women to create a business that works for them around family responsibilities.
