‘Reset and Re-imagine Your Life and Business’ Workshop Series

Workshop 1: Adapting and Thriving During Change

About this workshop

If it’s not global change as a consequence of a pandemic, it’s drought, it’s a flood, it’s a bushfire. These are external variables that change that we must adapt to.

There are also the changes you make as a woman, an entrepreneur in your connections with others, your relationships, that mean perhaps you are more assertive, setting boundaries with your friends and family and it is often these changes that cause the most grief and send women back into conforming for the sake of peace in the family or community. “Who does she think she is…setting up that business”, “What makes her think she’s an expert on…” “Why are you doing that, it’s way too risky, you will lose all our money”.

This workshop will give you an understanding of the process of change, the normal roadblocks you and others will put in your way of pursuing your goals and how to acknowledge them and walk straight on around them with dignity, confidence and respect.  However, the importance of being aware of trends and looking outside yourself to optimise your change journey is also covered in this workshop.

Rachelle Hampson has worked in private practice as a psychologist for the past 18 years and as a consequence of wearing out her saggy brown counselling chair she wants to stand up more and talk to the masses. Rachelle is also a university qualified Wellness Coach which means she works with her favourite group (busy professional women) who are struggling with stress, anxiety and burnout seen as lack of energy, weight gain, insomnia, chaos and overwhelm in any and every aspect of their lives (AKA their physical health, emotions, financial chaos, relationship neglect, home space clutter, career discontent). She helps find your mojo, get YOU on your TO-DO list at least, with the aim to have YOU at the top of the list. Essentially, she teaches you how to feel #youaregoodenuf

She has lots of very important pieces of paper including strangely a Master of Social Science in Criminology (from another life in law). She has been a mentor and workshop presenter for the Queensland Emergency Services for 15 years and has provided keynote speeches for wellbeing symposiums and corporate training across Queensland.

Rachelle also completed the Wire Program in 2018 and not only found it invaluable she made some great like-minded friends.

Nicole Graham

Nicole is from Luddenham, a small town in the Western suburbs of Sydney. After graduating from the University of Western Sydney with a degree in Communications she worked in various positions within the Tourism industry, from Public Relations, Marketing and Event Management. After travelling the world with work she settled in the Whitsundays with her husband to be. She started a Public Relations business, ‘Complete PR’ where she worked with a lot of small businesses and local government. She was the Event Manager for the Schoolies program and grew the event to be one of the safest and well respected Schoolies programs in Australia. During this time, with her husband they started Sundowner Cruises and later Lady Enid Sailing. With two healthy children, two successful businesses, great crew and a dream home, life was good. Yes, she was working seven days a week and the balance wasn’t always there, but they made it work. Tropical Cyclone Debbie changed all that. It destroyed their home and smashed their businesses. They were numb, exhausted, angry, frustrated and confused as the people that should have been helping them, kept knocking them down. It wasn’t until January this year that they could finally say they were back to normal, almost 3 years in the making. Then Covid-19 came. A new chapter, a new business on the horizon and a ride she is hoping she is ready for.
