The WiRE Share, Learn and Connect Forum will bring together entrepreneurial thinkers and doers, showcasing women who have begun their entrepreneurial journey and are progressing and growing their venture.

You are invited to share your pinnacles of success gained through sheer hard work and determination, alongside stories, messages, tips and tools. Connect, learn and share with your entrepreneurial peers to push yourself to new heights on your journey.

Join with like-minded passionate individuals who are keen to connect, learn, share and better themselves and forge their way forward. Influence your peers and other like-minded entrepreneurial women by telling them about your:

  • community venture or business with your value proposition/pitch;

  • most influential book / podcast / YouTube video that impacted your life;

  • most significant personal / digital tools that have helped;

  • biggest lesson you’ve learnt to pass onto your peers and other like-minded women; and more!

 Who should attend?

  • Entrepreneurial thinkers and doers;

  • Women who want to tell others about their current or future venture/business;

  • Women who want to build new networks with like-minded peers;

  • Women who want to connect with and learn from other like-minded peers;

  • Women who want to help other women through sharing their knowledge and lessons learnt.

    (Women who haven’t started a venture yet are also welcome to attend and connect with and learn from others who are currently on this journey. However, please indicate on the registration form if you haven’t started a venture yet).

What to expect?

An intensive two hour, interactive virtual group session to connect, learn and share with other entrepreneurial thinkers and doers across Queensland.

A free resource bank will be developed and shared with participants and the wider wider community after the event.

The forum will be facilitated via Zoom video conferencing.

What preparation is involved?

Be prepared to at least share one or more of the following:

  • your value proposition/pitch for your business or community venture or impact project;

  • the most influential book / podcast / YouTube video that impacted your life;

  • most significant personal / digital tools that have helped;

  • biggest lesson you’ve learnt to pass onto your peers and other like-minded women;

  • plus other insights into your journey.

About the Facilitators

Retha is Professor in Management and Entrepreneurial Behaviour and WiRE Program Director. Retha is an entrepreneurial research and capacity building leader specialising in analysing, developing and implementing innovative high performance entrepreneurial strategies. Retha is currently leading a major program in the Institute of Resilient Regions at USQ on entrepreneurial leadership and building high performance organisations/enterprises and has led (is leading) externally funded research projects worth more than $5m since 2009. 
Retha's research and projects are focused upon helping individuals and organisations, especially entrepreneurial women and SMEs, to leverage their skills, abilities and capabilities to the next level of performance. 

Retha has published over 80 research articles and co-authored 11 books on management, organisational behaviour and small business.
